King Park: A destination for fitness and fun!

On Tuesday 25 August, 2009 Holroyd City Council Mayor Councillor Greg Cummings was on site at King Park, Merrylands to inspect the recently completed upgrade.

The works were funded by Section 94 developer contributions, and included refurbishment of the existing playground, installation of a new playground with state of the art rope climbing equipment, installation of new sportsfield lighting, new fencing and general landscape improvements including installation of new footpaths, a bubbler, seating and shade tree planting.

The theme of the playground equipment was designed to compliment the use of the sports field.

The Mayor said, “King Park provides a great space for sport and leisure activities which are key to ensuring the health and wellbeing or residents and visitors of Holroyd.”
