Council’s Annual Report for 2010/2011 is now available online.

Draft Holroyd Local Environment Plan (LEP)
At its meeting of Tuesday, 10 April 2012, Council resolved to adopt the draft LEP 2012, which will now be forwarded to the NSW Department of Planning and Infrastructure for gazettal.

Independent Facilitators Draft LEP Public Hearing Reports - Merrylands & Wentworthville
The independent facilitator has completed their report of the public hearings for the Merrylands Centre, and the Wentworthville Centre including the Veron Street, Lytton Street and Bridge Road area. In accordance with the former Section 68(2) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, the report has been provided to Council and is being made available to the public.

2012 Local Government Elections

Local Government Councillor Elections are held every few years with the next Election scheduled for 8 September 2012.

2012 Holroyd Heritage Awards and Grants – Applications Now Open
Owners of heritage properties and interested community members are invited to nominate for a heritage award or apply for a heritage grant in association with the 2012 round of the Holroyd Council Heritage Awards and Grants program. Application will be received until 4:30pm, Monday, 28 May 2012.

ClubGRANTS Fundng for Community Projects is Now Available!
The ClubGRANTS Scheme is a community development funding program sponsored by local clubs and administered by Holroyd City Council. Funding is available to all incorporated community groups and organisations so why not submit an application?

Public Exhibition of the Draft 2011-2015 Delivery Program(incorporating the 2012/2013 Operational Plan) and Draft 2012/2013 Fees and Charges
The Draft 2011-2015 Delivery Program (incorporating the 2012/2013 Operational Plan), 2012/2013 Statement of Revenue Policy and the Draft ’20 Plus’ Asset Management Plan (incorporating Stormwater Management Policy) and Draft 2012/2013 Fees and Charges is currently on exhibition until May 30 2012.

Auto Alley Urban Renewal Study
The Sydney Metropolitan Development Authority has released preliminary investigations in the preparation of an Urban Renewal Study for the Auto Alley Precinct, on Church Street Parramatta. These investigation findings are on public exhibition between 16 May and 6 June 2012.

Safe Asbestos Removal and Disposal
Holroyd Council leads the way in calling for national regulations for the safe removal and disposal of asbestos.

After a period of public consultation the revised 'Policy for Payment of Expenses and Provision of Facilities to the Mayor and Councillors' was resolved by Council on 17 April 2012.

Public Exhibition of Draft Code of Meeting Practice

Council has reviewed procedures for conducting its meetings and has approved the public exhibition of an amended Draft Code of Meeting Practice to apply within Holroyd City Council.
