Holroyd City Council

Holroyd Council can do!

Council Committees

Council has established a number of Standing Committees and Advisory Committees to support it in its decision-making and provide recommendations.

The two major Standing Committees, Development/Community Services and Finance/Works meet as part of the Ordinary Council Meeting. Other committees meet as required or directed by Council. All committees have at least one Councillor as a member; many are attended by all Councillors.

Both Council and Committees hold on-site inspections as determined. In principle each Ward is represented on all Committees, and a Ward Councillor, who is not a Committee Member may attend inspections of that Committee (within that Councillors Ward), as an observer.

The Mayor, by virtue of his Office, is a member of every Committee of the Council and may preside and vote if present.
