
Holroyd City Council provides opportunities for Traineeships which are a great way to start a new career or change career direction. They involve gaining a recognised qualification while earning money and learning from hands on experience.
The trainee is enrolled in an approved course of formal training with an RTO (Registered Training Organisation) and employed with Council during the term of the traineeship. Work experience is gained on the job to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to complete the traineeship, as well as undertaking formal training through assessments with the RTO.
Upon completion, the trainee obtains their relevant qualification and is welcome to apply for a permanent position with Council or go on to use the qualification with another employer.
