PetFest

Over 8,000 people brought their pets to Holroyd Gardens on Sunday, 18 September, 2011 to join in Holroyd City Council’s PetFest activities.

This pet focused event is held annually to increase awareness of Council’s services that assist with responsible pet ownership. PetFest also raises funds to help rehome abandoned local companion animals, all the spare change donated in 2011 raised around $4,000.

Details of PetFest 2012 will be available on this page in late August 2012.

Responsible Pet Ownership

PetFest is all about promoting responsible pet ownership, and creating awareness in animal rescue. All proceeds raised on the day is donated to animal rescue and education for the Holroyd community.

Are you and your pet happy, healthy and wise? Owning a pet is a rewarding and enjoyable experience for both of you! Owners should ensure that their animal is healthy, well-nourished, groomed, vaccinated, properly exercised and socialised.

Dogs and cats must be microchipped and registered. This is essential to re-uniting you and your pet if they ever go missing.
