Oral History of Linnwood
The Friends of Linnwood are wishing to produce an oral history of Linnwood and are looking for information from former State wards who lived at Linnwood (also known as Lynwood Hall), child care workers or other staff who worked on the estate or local residents who have memories of Linnwood when it was a children's home. If you are willing to contribute to this oral history, please telephone Dorothy Warwick on 02 9632 9203 or email linnwood@optusnet.com.au. Linnwood Hall was built by George McCredie on his property in Guildford in 1894. It was later used for Presbyterian services until the George McCredie Memorial Church was opened in 1905. Linnwood Hall is located in Byron Road, Guildford, and is now an historic museum.
