Aboriginal Flag

Council flies the Aboriginal flag on its main building every working day.

The flag is composed of three coloured sections - black, yellow and red.

A number of representations exist for the flag's symbolic significance: for example, the colours represent the black people standing on a red earth, warmed by a yellow sun.

Harold Thomas who lives in Darwin designed the flag.
