Health
Your body
Moving from childhood to adulthood can be hard. Adolescence can often be a time for experimentation. It can be difficult to deal with the pressures of making social decisions as well as coping with physical changes.
Changes are normal and part of growing up. They include changes in weight, height, skin, shape, hair and smell. It is important to treat your body well during puberty and afterwards.
- Exercise your body and make an informed choice about food, alcohol and drugs.
- Don’t compare your body to others.
- Bodies can change again after puberty to early twenties.
Mental Health
Staying healthy includes keeping your mind healthy. This can be hard to do when you are young and trying to deal with your image and identity.
Some issues young people or adolescents may have to deal with are relationships, family, body image, emotions and stress.
