Young Adults at the Library

Holroyd Council libraries have a range of fiction and non-fiction books plus magazines selected especially for teenagers. These are available at all branches. Genres include fantasy, comedy, romance and more.

Merrylands Central Library has a youth area with a PlayStation 2, a lounge and beanbags. There are usually special school holiday events.

HSC Collection

The HSC reference collection is available at Merrylands Central Library and Wentworthville Central Library. These items can be used in the library only.

Resources include textbooks on most curriculum subjects, study guides and cribs on various English texts, and previous HSC exam papers, both with questions and answers.

There is also a collection of HSC resources available for loan at Merrylands Central Library; 5 items may be borrowed at a time for a period of 7 days.

New material is regularly added to the collection to reflect changes in the HSC curriculum.

Infocus

Infocus links students studying for the NSW HSC with supplementary material from the State Library of New South Wales.

Material is specifically chosen for its relevance to HSC topics, texts and issues drawn from Australian and international sources.

Infocus articles are kept with the HSC collection at Merrylands Central Library.
