Youth & HSC

Holroyd City Council Library Service has a range of fiction and non-fiction books as well as magazines and graphic novels selected especially for young people. These are available at all branches. Genres include fantasy, comedy, romance and more.

Merrylands Central Library has a youth area with Wii gaming facilities, a huge graphic novels collection and Wii games to borrow.

The Library conducts activities for young people every school holidays.

HSC Collection

The HSC reference collection includes textbooks, study guides and cribs on various English texts and previous HSC exam papers. It is available at Merrylands Central Library and Wentworthville Branch Library. These items can be used in the Library only.

There is also a collection of HSC resources available for loan at Merrylands Central Library. These items may be borrowed for a period of 7 days. 

New material is regularly added to the collections to reflect changes in the HSC curriculum.

Infocus

Infocus links students studying for the NSW HSC with supplementary material from the State Library of New South Wales. 

Material is specifically chosen for its relevance to HSC topics, texts and issues drawn from Australian and international sources. 

Infocus articles are kept with the HSC collection at Merrylands Central Library.

Yourtutor

Yourtutor allows students to connect with qualified tutors online using the Library’s public computers or at home using their own computer. Get help with homework, assignments, projects and exam revision. You will need to enter your Library membership number for access. You can access Your Tutor between 4.00pm and 8.00pm on school days.
