Databases marked with home access can be accessed at home if you are a library member and databases marked library access can only be used in the library.

The use of the following databases is subject to usual copyright restrictions.

Ancestry Library Edition library access

Ancestry Library Edition is a genealogy research tool. Ancestry Library Edition has more than 1.5 billion names in over 4000 databases and includes records from the United States Census; military records; court, land and probate records; vital and church records; directories; passenger lists and more.

Ancient and Medieval History Online home access

Ancient and Medievel History Online (Facts On File) explores the pre-modern world with in-depth focus on Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, Rome, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Asia. It contains full text articles from leading reference works as well as primary sources, maps, images and charts.

Australian Bureau of Statistics home access

The ABS provides statistics on a wide range of economic and social matters, serving government, business and the general population.

ANZ Reference Centre home access

A general database of Australian and international content with articles in health, current affairs, science, social science, business and literature.

Australian Public Affairs Information Service (APAIS) home access

An online collection of authoritative Australasian journals, monographs, research papers and other reference materials, many in full text.

Computerschool.net home access

The Computer Skills Index link contains hundreds of comprehensive computer training tutorials, with more continually being added. Tutorials include full colour, easy-to-follow screen-shots with step-by-step instructions covering an extensive and varied range of topics.

Consumer Health Complete home access

Contains full text articles covering all areas of health and wellness from mainstream medicine to many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated medicine. Topics include aging, cancer, diabetes, drugs and alcohol, fitness, nutrition and dietetics, children's health and men and women's health.

eBooks home access

A selection of reference books available online. Topics include literature, science, religion, ancient history and mathematics. Each title is searchable. You need your library card number to access from home.

Encyclopaedia Britannica home access Encyclopaedia Britannica library access

Offers encyclopaedias for all levels. Britannica Junior for years 3 - 5, Britannica Student for Years 5 - 9 and Encyclopaedia Britannica for Year 10 to adults. Search Britannica's multimedia content and expand your research to include journal articles and recommended websites all in one search.

A powerful web-based service for researching and monitoring news and business information.

Findmypast library access

Findmypast.com is a family history and geneology website. An ever-growing collection of over 650 million family history records including records from each of the Victorian (1841-1901) censuses, access to the 1911 census on 1911census.co.uk, the Parish Records Collection and an extensive military records collection.

History & Reference Library home access, History & Reference Library library access

History and Reference Library contains major titles, including original source documents, adapted for online use and extensive searching capability.

Literary Reference Centre home access

Provides full text information on authors and their works from a combination of sources including books, encyclopaedias and journals. Includes plot summaries, critical essays, reviews, poems and author biographies. Search by author, title, subject or literary genre, or browse publications and most read authors.

Macquarie Online home access Macquarie Online library access

Australia's premier reference publisher now offers a variety of quality resources online. Services includes the Macquarie Dictionary Online, the Macquarie Thesaurus Online, MacquarieNet, the Macquarie Spellchecker and the Macquarie Atlas of Indigenous Australia. Updated annually, Macquarie is the most up-to-date Australian dictionary and thesaurus available.

NoveList home access

Use NoveList to look for books by author, title, series, plot description or level of readership (children, young adults, adults etc). Use the Read-Alikes feature to find other authors who write like your favourite author. Includes plot summaries, genre and theme based lists, discussion guides for book clubs, book talks and details of awards.

Oxford Art Online home access

The Grove Dictionary of Art Online provides access to the entire text of The Dictionary of Art with constant additions of new material and updates to the text plus extensive image links.

Proquest ANZ Newstand home access

ProQuest ANZ NewsStand combines local, national, business, sport, political, technology and entertainment news from key providers including News Ltd, Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC) and Fairfax. A growing two-year archive of articles for all titles is available with new material being added daily.

Science Reference Centre home access

Provides access to a multitude of full text science oriented content. Contains full text for 640 science encyclopaedias, reference books, periodicals. Topics covered include: biology, chemistry, earth and space science, environmental science, health and medicine, history of science, life science, physics, science and society, scientists, technology and wildlife.

Standards Australia Online Public Library Service library access

A comprehensive online collection of International and Australian standards, many with full text coverage.

World Book Online home access, World Book Online library access & World Book Kids home access

The World Book Online Reference Centre is a premier online general encyclopedia and reference resource. World Book Kids is designed especially for younger users, English-language learners, and reluctant readers. Now includes access to three new databases: Living Green, Early Peoples and Inventions and Discoveries.
