Holroyd City Council

Holroyd Council can do!

Computers & Photocopying

Computers are available for personal use at all library branches. Every public computer has internet access with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. At Merrylands Library there are three computers with flatbed scanners.

Free wireless internet access is now available at Merrylands Library for visitors who bring a wireless-capable laptop.

Booking

Bookings can be made at each branch using the self-booking system but cannot be taken over the phone. Please read our Public Computer Centre Conditions of Use.

Library members are entitled to three hours of computer use per day in one hour sessions.

Computer Printing

If you need to print something from a computer you will need to purchase a printing card (which can be used on the photocopiers too). There is both black/white and colour printing available but there is a per page fee.

Photocopying

Photocopying is available in black/white and colour. Black/white photocopiers are located at all three libraries while colour photocopying is only available at Merrylands. All copiers provide both A3 and A4 sized copies.

You may purchase a photocopy card for use on the black and white copiers. Purchasing this card gives you discounted copies. You may also use coins if you wish. Copiers do not provide you with change, however change is available at the desk.

The colour photocopier takes coins only but cannot give change. You cannot use your black and white photocopy card to make colour copies.

You cannot make transparencies with any of the photocopiers.

Should you require assistance with your photocopying, your friendly library staff will be more than happy to help.

Binding, Laminating and Microfilm at Merrylands Library

Documents can be bound and pages laminated for a small fee at Merrylands Library.

Laminating sizes range from credit card size to A2.

A microfilm reader/printer is available. A small charge applies for printed copies.

Training

There are regular free computer training courses that cover basic computer skills and Internet searching. The classes are advertised in the local newspapers.
