Independent Facilitators Draft LEP Public Hearing Reports - Merrylands & Wentworthville

The independent facilitator has completed their report of the public hearings for the Merrylands Centre, and the Wentworthville Centre including the Veron Street, Lytton Street and Bridge Road area. In accordance with the former Section 68(2) of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, the report has been provided to Council and is being made available to the public.

Draft Holroyd LEP 2011 Public Exhibition - NOW CLOSED

The public exhibition period for the revised Draft LEP 2011 closed on Wednesday, 31 August 2011. The submissions received are now being reviewed and are expected to be reported to Council early in 2012. If you still wish to view the draft plans and supporting studies they will remain on Council’s website and a hard copy can be viewed at the Council administration building upon request.

Public Notice - Ordinary Council Meeting Rescheduled

The Ordinary Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, 21 February 2012 has been rescheduled to Tuesday, 28 February 2012 commencing at 6:30pm. The meeting is an Open Council Meeting and members of the public are invited to attend.

Safe Asbestos Removal and Disposal

Holroyd Council leads the way in calling for national regulations for the safe removal and disposal of asbestos.

Review of Councillor Expenses and Provision of Facilities Policy - EXTENDED TO 23 MARCH 2012

Council intends to publicly adopt its revised Policy and invites public submissions as required by Section 253(1) of the Local Government Act. All written submissions received will be considered by Council prior to adoption of the revised Policy.

Public Exhibition of Draft Code of Meeting Practice

Council has reviewed procedures for conducting its meetings and has approved the public exhibition of an amended Draft Code of Meeting Practice to apply within Holroyd City Council.

Council's Living Holroyd Program has been created to focus our city on the future, with Council and our community working together.

Public Exhibition of Draft Public Art Policy 2012-2015

Council invites written submissions from the public on any aspect of the Draft Policy. Submissions are to be received no later than 23 March 2012.

Are You a Justice of the Peace?

If you’re a JP and are interested in helping your community, Holroyd City Council Library Service is seeking volunteers to provide a JP service at both Merrylands and Wentworthville Libraries.
