Holroyd Council can do!

Park Improvements

Holroyd City Council is conscious of the need to provide safe and enjoyable facilities for the public and undertakes an ongoing process of upgrades and new installations as part of its Parks Improvement Program. The number of projects included in each years program is primarily dependant on the funding available from Council’s annual budget with each project having been selected on its merits and on a priority basis.

Where possible, Council supplements these budgets with other funding programs and in 2009/2010 the Federal Government contributed to a number of Council’s projects through the Regional and Local Community Infrastructure Program; to stimulate additional growth and economic activity in response to the global economic crisis.

Projects completed in 2009 received funding opportunities that have increased project activities across the entire Holroyd Local Government Area, accomplishing substantial improvements to its recreational facilities.
