Holroyd City Council

Park & Sportsground Committees

Council delegates some of its park and sportsground responsibilities to community committees. These committees, made up of local residents and users of the facilities, provide care, control and management of Council properties.

Membership is open to Holroyd residents and ratepayers with others accepted subject to approval.

These committees:

  • Ensure fair usage hours and widest use of facilities and equal opportunity to all bodies
  • Work towards implementation of the Plan of Management
  • Report annually to Council on usage and improvements, and submit a program of proposed works for the following year.
  • Report damage of facilities to Council promptly for insurance purposes.
  • Advise hirers they are responsible for damage, which may lead to loss of use, if not repaired.
  • Furnish Council in advance a usage timetable to facilitate preparation of the grounds.

Authorised park committee members can request work using the park committee request form.

You can download the committees' constitution, address details, plans of management and sportsground contact sheet.
