Who can apply to carry out work on a tree?

Generally a property owner or authorised agent makes application to Council for works to a tree.

If a person seeks to carry out works to a tree on a neighbouring property, permission needs to be obtained from the owner of the tree prior to an application being made to Council.

In the case of a tree within the common area of a unit development, the consent of the body corporate must be obtained prior to making an application to Council.
