Holroyd Happy Holiday Hamper Competition
In December Council organises a competition in conjunction with local papers where residents suggested ideas to save money at Christmas time.
All prizes are donated by local Holroyd businesses. Thank you to all these retailers who made this competition possible.

More than 150 people entered the Happy Holiday Hamper Promotion this year to win prizes collated by the Holroyd Sun, Holroyd City Council and local retailers. The major prizewinner was Louise Benett from Greystanes who shared with us how she likes to celebrate the festive season in Holroyd which she described as “fabulous… a great community to live in. The feeling that neighbours are like family spending Christmas together sharing Christmas treats, drinks and gifts together.”

More than 180 people entered the Happy Holiday Hamper Promotion this year to win prizes collated by the Parramatta Advertiser, Holroyd City Council and local retailers. The major prizewinner was Juliette Subramaniam from Wentworthville, who won 7 days accommodation at Forster for a family of 4 donated by Merrylands RSL. Juliette shared with us the three things she likes best about Holroyd including the multicultural community where everybody is made to feel welcome; the variety of shops and a variety of initiatives like the Paint Holroyd REaD Program”.
