Social Plan

Council’s Social Plan addresses the Holroyd community’s social needs and aspirations for the next three years (2010-2012). The plan identifies community aspirations, issues and challenges, and provides a range of strategies to improve community well-being.

The plan will assist Council, in partnership with community groups and other agencies, in the building of strong and sustainable communities based on the social justice principles of access and equity, inclusion, participation and community engagement.

Hard copies of the plan are available at a cost of $19. To purchase, download an order form and post the completed form to Council with cheque or money order for the prescribed amount. Alternatively, the plan can be purchased directly at the front counter, Holroyd City Council Chambers, Memorial Avenue, Merrylands.

Community Profile

The Holroyd City Council Community Profile includes results from the 2006, 2001, 1996, and 1991 Censuses of Population and Housing.

The Holroyd City Council Community Profile is designed to inform community groups, investors, business, students and the general public. To achieve this, the Profile is formatted to present the data in simple, clear tables and charts with concise factual commentary.

Crime Prevention Plan

The Crime Prevention Plan provides the impetus for the Holroyd community to develop a coordinated approach to community safety and crime prevention. Processes, projects, tasks and activities undertaken by Council which have a direct or indirect impact on safety.

Cultural Plan

The Holroyd City Cultural Plan seeks to expand, enrich and contribute to the creative potential of our community. It aims to have our neighbourhoods reflect our identity, embrace our heritage, and be vibrant and rejuvenated. Increasing the cultural vitality of Holroyd City is a long-term commitment of Council. This five-year plan and its objectives will enable Council to deliver on this commitment.

City Health Plan

The City Health Plan provides a mechanism to review, and respond effectively to, the public and environmental health needs of the local community. The plan presents priority areas to be addressed along with strategies for implementing programs for change.

This homelessness report and its impact on the community identifies the extent of the problem, reviews current services and assists with policy development. The homelessness resource directory provides a list of services for those working with homeless people.
