Holroyd City Council

Holroyd Council can do!

Community Assistance Program (CAP)

Holroyd City Council's Community Assistance Program offers grants between $251 - $5,000 to support local non-profit community groups and services.

Applications are sought from non-profit organisations/community groups based in the Holroyd Local Government Area and/or principally serving the Holroyd area.

Priority will be given to projects that address the local community needs identified through Council’s community consultation process and documented in the relevant plans, e.g.: Holroyd’s Social Plan, City Health Plan and Cultural Plan.

Applications must be in line with the purpose of the Community Assistance Program which was established to:

  • Support local community organisations which have little opportunity of obtaining funds from other sources. The application must be for a specific project, which benefits the community.
  • Provide one-off establishment grants to initiate new and innovative cultural and community development projects.
  • Consider applications to reduce hiring charges for local community facilities and similar matters.

Council recognises the value of local community organisations and groups in providing a wide range of services to the Holroyd community and endeavours to support these organisations/groups in their efforts.
