Council’s Community Development Team works collaboratively to strengthen the social, cultural, economic and personal wellbeing of the people who live, work and visit the city of Holroyd.

The team's goals:- Support and resource community groups and community initiatives that strengthen community and cultural life in Holroyd
- Research, collect and analyse data and information on the Holroyd LGA to maintain an understanding of community characteristics and priorities
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of Council plans, reports, research and publications that identify and respond to community priorities
- Develop and deliver projects, initiatives and events that enhance the well being of the community and strengthen community and cultural life, particularly for priority population groups
- Advocate, represent and advise on community priorities to Council and other Government and non-Government bodies
The team undertakes social planning, cultural planning, community consultation, demographic analysis, promote funding and grant opportunities, and co-ordinate a range of community based projects including events, seminars and festivals.
Members of the team encompass a diversity of expertise in community cultural development practice, including social and community planning, project management, consultation and public art project co-ordination.
