
If the driveway is only on private land please refer to Clause 2.27 of SEPP (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008.
If the driveway crosses the nature strip and/or footpath, you will need to refer to the Vehicular Crossing Policy which outlines procedures for gaining access from a public road to a private property across a public footpath.
These procedures ensure that the safety of other road users and pedestrians are not compromised and that no damage is caused to the road or footpath.
A proposal for a new crossing will need to satisfy both planning and engineering requirements before it can proceed.
